Becoming a member
Minehead Badminton Club was established in 2025 by local players that had been playing together on a weekly basis, and wanted to create a club specifically for people who enjoy playing badminton at a higher level.
We're actively looking for new players to join us, and welcome guests & potential members to our club nights for taster sessions. While our club nights are welcoming and friendly, we are a competitive group, and if you are new to badminton, or have not played previously at an intermediate/advanced level, we are probably not the right club for you.
If you are a beginner or lower-level player, we do recommend joining the no-strings pay & play sessions at the West Somerset College Community Sports Centre that are held every Wednesday & Friday evenings, 7-8:30pm, and very welcoming to get started with the sport.

Club Membership Fees
Full Membership
TBCFull season membership from TBC October to TBC May (includes shuttlecocks) & league nights¹
Associate Membership
£30 + session feeMembership with pay and play available for those unable to take out full membership (£7 payable per club night joined)
Visitor
£7 up to 3 timesNew joiners are welcomed to come and try a few nights with us up to 3 sessions after which we'd require subscription to either membership plan above
¹ League nights are played on specific TBC schedule. We currently try to rotate teams from one league night to another to give as many people as possible a chance to play if they would like to. We can't guarantee one would be able to play every league game.
Location & Club Nights
We are located at the West Somerset College Community Sports Centre, Bircham Road, Minehead, TA24 6AY
Our club nights are held on Monday evenings from 8pm until 9:30pm
The club season for 2026/27 runs from TBC - TBC
